Your friends are going to ask you how things are going, how well you are doing etc. They are also likely to ask you how well you did at the end of the week or month.

And because your friends will want to ask you how well you've done, this will make you more determined to avoid the potential embarrassment of having to admit that you failed. This really does work well and when you next feel tempted to eat that extra piece of cake or that cookie your subconscious will remind you that you have to face your friends when they ask what results you've achieved.
