Cain Velasquez & the Benefits to Gain from Kettlebell Exercises

By Rob Sutter

When it comes to UFC, you better be confident that people are going to be highly cutthroat. I have seen fights drag on for a large number rounds while others were done in a matter of seconds.
Cain Velasquez is the modern-day regnant champion in the promotion and he doesn't seem to be showing any signs of slowing down. However, he may be able to increase his fighting style and I believe that would come from kettlebell exercises and how frequently he would be able to use them.

Cain Velasquez gained his UFC Championship back in December thanks to a victory over Junior dos Santos. Since that time, many fans are looking at Velasquez in the hopes that he will be able to function well in imminent fights. Of course, triumphs aren't going to come without training and it seems as though he has this element of his life locked. Having said that, however, would he undoubtedly be able to better his fighting style if he modified his regimen to some degree?

When you're talking about possible alterations to one's fighting style, I believe that the efforts of authorities like Lorna can play a great part. I say this because there is a large focus on kettlebell exercises, which are perhaps some of the more versatile workout regimens in the world. Velasquez is a fighter, through and through, which means that he has to hit hard and move fast. These qualities seem to fit in well with this particular slew of exercises to help the body.

Velasquez is just like any fighter with an array of techniques to bring down opponents but it is how quick and hard he strikes that makes him a champion. It's common for him to utilize mostly punches, going left and right in order to take his opponents off guard and bring them down to the surface. After this is taken care of, it's normal for him to move swiftly and hit hard, putting his grappling prowess to use as he keeps each of his foes grounded. It's because of these actions that he has been able to win the championship twice.

Kettlebell exercises hold many benefits to try them out, whether you want to become a fighter or not. People who merely want to get into shape or keep up a routine can put these to use because of how well they work with the body. It's almost as if they become natural, using the body's own actions in tandem with regimens which entail them. In the case of Velasquez, or any fighter worth their salt, these regimens can be some of the most useful.
